About Me
Hello, my name is Miski Osman. I'm Muslim African American therapist,I pursued my education journey at South Seattle Community College before transferring to the University of Washington, where I earned my bachelor degree. Later, at Pacific Lutheran University where I earned my masters degree. My cultural and religious background has shaped my perspective and approach to counseling. Growing up, I experienced firsthand the impact of racism and discrimination on individuals and communities, I have always been passionate about promoting social justice and equality.
Islam teaches compassion, empathy, and a deep sense of responsibility to help others. As a therapist, I strive to embody these values and create a safe and supportive space for my clients. I am also aware of the unique challenges that Muslims and African Americans face in society. Islamophobia, anti-Black racism, and discrimination are all issues that can impact mental health and well-being. As a therapist, I aim to help clients navigate these challenges and build resilience in the face of adversity.
